bloomon is turning the flower industry on its head – for the better. How? By disrupting the traditional supply chain, where most florists operate offline and have done for decades. bloomon creates seasonal collections using unusual stems to deliver unique flower arrangements on repeat. We always use field-fresh high-quality flowers straight from the grower and deliver to our customers through a high-tech and highly creative platform. Our e-commerce company launched in Amsterdam in 2014 and went from start-up to scale-up at hypersonic speed. We are already active in five countries: the Netherlands, Germany, Belgium, UK, and Denmark. Next step? to conquer Europe… and then the world. Our goal? To become the first global flower brand in the lifestyle segment, filling hearts and homes with happiness. One bouquet at a time.


Business Development at bloomon

We drive the growth of bloomon and its expansion in Europe. How? By finding new and smarter ways to grow our customer base at speed. From thinking up ways to make our sales channels better, quicker and easier. By piloting exciting initiatives from ideation to execution. Think: national partnerships, magazine collaborations, inspiring workshops, pop-up shops, fairs, markets and store collaborations. We work with other cool brands to raise our visibility. We combine our creative skills and business know how to tap into millions of potential customers each year. Wel relish the freedom and responsibility our team has to push the boundaries of what (we think) is possible as we evolve our market. Our dynamic team interacts with – and soaks up knowledge from – all departments: from production and PR to operations and CRM. We put lessons learnt into improving and optimizing every day. Why? So we can sell flowers like a boss.

What will you do?

You will be a key member of the international business development team and will report directly to our Global Head of Growth. You will lead and further build the local sales and business development teams, and are responsible for the growth of our subscription base across the Danish market. Your main task is to secure a sustainable customer acquisition strategy. Your ultimate goal is to put flowers on every table of every household in the Denmark, every week.


You will be responsible for:

  • Budgeting, planning and optimizing return of a six figure annual marketing budget;
  • Manage direct sales channel, including selection & training of sales-staff, scheduling events & planning personnel;
  • Manage offline media channels, including budgeting, planning & production of offline media initiatives;
  • Maintain and leverage existing strategic partnerships;
  • Source and build new strategic partnerships;
  • Set and execute the road-map and agenda for growth in Denmark to drive significant growth and become one of bloomon’s top markets;
  • Improve customer acquisition costs.

Requirements

What do we expect from you?

  • Our Head of Business Development DK is a strong and smart negotiator, has commercial insight but is also data driven with strong analytical skills:
  • Outstanding track record both academically and professionally;
  • Fluent in Danish (in both speech and writing); preferably a native speaker;
  • 1-3 years working experience in strategy consultancy, investment banking and/or business development at prominent e-commerce players;
  • Structured approach to work;
  • Can easily switch from data analytics and strategy to getting things done hands-on;
  • Able to quickly build relationships with different stakeholders but also a strong negotiator;
  • Pro-active and definite ‘can do’ attitude: pushes for growth;
  • Willingness to (initially) work out of our Head Office in Amsterdam;
  • Willingness to travel.
