bloomon turns the traditional flower industry on its head with a unique style, ultra fresh flowers from our growers and personal delivery to our customers. The flower sector is huge with over €50 billion in annual turnover but 99% of the sector still operates offline. bloomon is driving the shift to online.

 

Our company and team are expanding rapidly. With an international team of over 80 highly motivated and ambitious people, we are active in five countries. bloomon has its main office in Amsterdam, but also operates out of Berlin, London and Taiwan.
The bloomon team consists of seasoned e-commerce experts (ex-Rocket Internet) as well as strategy-consultants (The Boston Consulting Group, McKinsey, SparkOptimus), and has raised funding from renowned VCs as well as international entrepreneurs.

 

Joining bloomon as Head of Business Development for the Danish market places you at the centre of our growth and expansion. You will be instrumental in further conquering the Danish market, which is at the core focus of our international expansion and where we will aggressively strengthen our market position. Responsibilities

You will be a key member of the international business development team and will report directly to our Global Head of Growth. You will lead and further build the local sales and business development teams, and are responsible for the growth of our subscription base across the Danish market. Your main task is to secure a sustainable customer acquisition strategy. Your ultimate goal is to put flowers on every table of every household in the Denmark, every week.

 

Key activities:

  • Budgeting, planning and optimizing return of a six figure annual marketing budget
  • Manage direct sales channel, including selection & training of sales-staff, scheduling events & planning personnel
  • Manage offline media channels, including budgeting, planning & production of offline media initiatives
  • Maintain and leverage existing strategic partnerships
  • Source and build new strategic partnerships

Your role:

  • Set and execute the roadmap and agenda for growth in Denmark to drive significant growth and become one of bloomon’s top markets
  • Improve customer acquisition costs

Requirements

Our Head of Business Development DK is a strong and smart negotiator, has commercial insight but is also data driven with strong analytical skills:

  • Outstanding track record both academically and professionally
  • Fluent in Danish (in both speech and writing); preferably a native speaker
  • 1-3 years working experience in strategy consultancy, investment banking and/or business development at prominent e-commerce players
  • Structured approach to work
  • Can easily switch from data analytics and strategy to getting things done hands-on
  • Able to quickly build relationships with different stakeholders but also a strong negotiator
  • Pro-active and definite ‘can do’ attitude: pushes for growth
  • Willingness to (initially) work out of our Head Office in Amsterdam
  • Willingness to travel
